SOLD: Gilmore amp

Recommended Posts

amp is built by fyleow and sounds great. but I think I need a source upgrade more than an amp upgrade at this time rolleyes.gif

pics here

Breakdown of parts.

Hand Matched Vishay Dale 1% metal film resistors

Hand Mathced Transistors

Talema Toroidal Transformer

Neutrik 1/4 locking jack

Alps Black Beauty Potentiometer

Panasonic Capacitors (for powersupply)

Vishay Spargue Orange Drop Capacitors (for amp)

OPA227

Cardas GRFA female RCA connectors

Power supply is connected with a DIN connection to the amp.

Hammond black andonized aluminum case.

these are parts as good, if not better than the usual antness built one.

asking for a low low S$450 flat.

this was a US$500 amp!

this is a killer price for a killer amp. don't wait smile.gif

note: this is a US version ie. 120v, so local guys have to use a step-down transformer. or I could throw it in for $20 biggrin.gif

the CA in KGCA means class A. it is the correct term for the dynamic circuit. The electrostatic circuit is normally called KGSS.

For those who are getting the amp for 240v use, I can modify the wiring for the amp's PSU to use AC 240v by default as the step-down transformer might affect the sound.
