Rameish 0 Report post Posted November 27, 2007 I would like to report :-) that there isn't much if any difference between the 2. The music files were uncompressed and the headphones were the venerable Beyer DT431. The iPod Classic is however much much nicer looking and way thinner. Not a review but just my and lengcm's 2¢ worth.
sHaRkKaE 0 Report post Posted November 27, 2007 How about with the video as well? In the review, did you use the headphone out or line out?
mamboman 0 Report post Posted November 28, 2007 This is my opinion thus far after having both. Found the lineout for both are quite close. 5.5G Video : UI : Fast and Responsive. Headout : Sounds full and accurate. Agreed upon as best of the iPods other than Shuffle 1G Classic : UI : Very sluggish even with latest firmware. Headout : Very clean, but sounds slightly thinner than that of iPod Video I went with the Classic as I needed the capacity, but at a slight loss of SQ. I am more for using my computer rig at home than desktop rig so this is working out fine for me.
