azeroth 0 Report post Posted March 12, 2008 My laptop audio is way too soft. The options for me are very limited - I can't change the built in audio. I tried connecting to more powerful speakers - there was an improvement but it's still rtaher soft So I was wondering can I use a headphone amp to amplify the output from the PC audio before it goes into the PC speakers? loop_ 0 Report post Posted March 13, 2008 no need for that. get a proper pair of PC speakers that connects directly from the lineout and has it's own power supply. These speakers have their own build-in amplifier and will go much louder than the PC, or probably even a headphone amp, can drive it. an example: http://www.bose.com/controller?event=VIEW_...ion_2/index.jsp
slowth 0 Report post Posted March 17, 2008 yeah it really depends what you mean by more powerful speakers. I think you could use an amp if you just wanna listen with your earphones. but to power full passive speakers.. then I'm not so sure..
