You didn't mention anything about open or closed cans. But let me assume let you're looking for open cans, Grado SR-225. Fantastic headphones for jazz.

Thats a nice suggestion, something i think my friend is looking for Could you advise what head amp (portable) to drive this can? somewhere in 300 dollar range? is govibe petite sufficient?

I think Grado is very good even without amp. At least my SR-325i did.

Most Grados are easily driven. That means able to drive with portable players, but if you want to squeeze the juice out of the Grados like 325, always better to amp it.

My suggestion would be Grado 225 + ibasso P2 or D2-viper. The last time I tried out at stereo, the synergy was marvellous. Clean clear vocals, strong dynamic bass, detailed imaging .

er? i thought D2-Viper out of stock liao?? how much is Ibasso P2 going for at stereo now inclusive GST?
