My missing bit :

Ohms ------- Headphones

300 ---------- HD560

250 ---------- DT880

60 ------------ Koss KSC-35

32 ----------- Grado RS-2

So dBu, any indicative specs on yours ? as i do have a tubed headamp (G&W) that is undergoing transformation, may be you could share some experience of yours for our reference. wink.gif

Hi Tee,

I'm still learning also lah... Hehe... biggrin.gif

Impedance matching is important... Try to get as close as possible. Most of the tube amp has 4 ohms, 8 ohms some even 16 ohms O/P, so that can match with difference impedance speaker.

Tks...

Same theory lah... biggrin.gif

Especially tube amp using O/P transformer... So the sec. of the transformer (impedance) must match to either speakers or headphones...

32 ohms... Grado RS1

600 ohms... Sennheiser HD480II (better than the other version of the HD480s at a whopping 1700 ohms ohmy.gif )
