binot 0 Report post Posted February 24, 2009 Hi... Just getting into tubes... Can any tube amp users give me an indication into how long normally does the tubes in the amp last before they need replacement?
hellfire112 0 Report post Posted February 24, 2009 How long do audio tubes typically last? For small signal tubes, my experience is that they last between five and ten thousand hours. Power amplifier tube life depends in large part on the particular amplifier used- some are much harder on tubes than others. a very good read for tubes info http://www.soundstage.com/tubeor/tube1.htm
