  1. WTS SR80 @ S$85. Condition 9/10, low usage. 1.5 year old. With carrying case (purchased from an MO, thrown in with the SR80). Neglected headphone after purchase of the AKG k271.
  2. queensway shopping centre is the place to go....
  3. Haha, thanks to all for the advice...guess the journey to headphone nirvana never ends And now as I enjoy the 271, I begin to appreciate the subtle differences between different cans...and this gives me quite an experience. Just me 2 cents worth. Glad to relate this to you all!!!!
  4. ...a bloody headphone addict. Just bought the AKG 271 from freddymac in the classified. Currently owning the AKG271, Stanton PRO-3000, Grado SR80 and sennheiser HD497 and PX100... Anyway, the AKG 271 really beats all the rest of the cans except the SR 80. THANKS FREDDYMAC!!!!!!!
  5. Do i even dare to ask how much was the XA3000ES? Ok, how much is it?
  6. Woah....thanks for the link dude! ugliness is not a concern for me....enjoyment of the music is...(cant say the same for my gal who will probably whack me for getting a 3rd headphone)
  7. After having bought from tropicalrips the Grado SR-80, playing classical/jazz while lying on the bed before sleep seemed like heaven to me....BUT...playing DJ mixes, trances and dance tracks with the open can lacks something i cant put my finger on it....could it be due to the openess of the can? If it is, then time to source for a good pair of closed cans...hopefully someone will recommend me a good pair of closed ones!!
  8. i have the senn hd497....the head cushions are nice BUT they have one flaw...if you hang it on some hot surface...the cushions will melt. So beware ;p
  9. Between my current Sennhiser HD 497 and the Grado SR80... Grado not as comfy (not to mention that my girlfren thinks it looks absolutely awful, lol) Sounds different: Grado bass definitely lighter than the Sennheiser, but warmer and more detailed. Just my 2-cents
  10. can buy marantz 5400 at simlim around 350, try simlim 3rd floor farle pte ltd. Can try your own cd and headphones. Please bargain.... Anyway, i feel damn intimidated by the shops in adelphi, beri klass siah
