I own a EMU 1212.. a good sound card, really detailed. After modding the op-amp and its capacitor, it sounds great. The only complain I have for it is that it lack of vista and linux driver support. I haven't used a EMU 0404 before, so I can't say much about it.

Thx, Ck. I will try to relocate my board soon.. , by the way I am using the same transformer and casing as you. I noticed that the transformer generate a Electromagnetic Force on the case, which cause case to produce a low hum. What i did was to placed some cupboard below the transformer reduce the low hum. Pretty hard to describe, got to let you see some photos. will take some time though, haven't got access to a digital camera. Cheers, zhiyao

Thx for the input.. Probably.. got to try both methods and see whether there is a difference in them. but for amp 5.. power line from the transformer is connect close to the speaker out wire.. I am not sure whether the power line AC 60hz would affect the speaker out wire... think the shielded wire might be better.. Cheers, zonoyono

Hi guys, I have just finished a AMP 5 amplifier... got to thank heady for his thread on AMP 5:) cheers for heady I was just wondering what would be a good interconnects to be used within the Amplifier. Is EMI shielded wire important?. Currently I am using some super thin belden wire recommended by Koba And canare cable for the interconnects from the amp to speaker. Yes, you could get locally in Creative X in creative centre in Jurong where you have the creative ware house sale... In Fact aiming for one.. hehe. hi all, i manage to get the OPA2134 chip from Texus Instrument... Thx TI for giving me a free sample. now i am looking for Clarostat 585(1k dual logarithmic potentiometer). or other alternative dual potentiometer. Do any of you have any idea where to get them. Thx zonoyono:)

Hi all, I am currently starting to build my first CMOY amp for my headset . I am planning to build this circuit from this website: http://www.geocities.com/rjm003.geo/rjmaudio/diy_hclo.html But I have trouble finding OPA134 (OPA2134) and Clarostat 585(1k dual logarithmic potentiometer) in Sim Lim Tower, most of the shop I ask dun even heard of such op-amp.. seems like OPA134 is pretty rare. Could any expert here please tell me where I could get those in Singapore? Thanks in advance:yes:
