I'm using a plastic cased insulated DC jack. I haven’t finished my amp yet, but have had it bench tested just using opa134pa's The Hammond case is about the same price in the UK, I paid £10.95 for mine with the metal ends. Have you got yours up and running yet?

huangyong, Using a 50v 1.0A General Purpose Rectifier Diode, 1N4001 as Tangents part list. The case is a Hammond Engineering part no: 1455N1601 Have you got any further with yours, and do you know if anyone has completed from the boards you sold? Alan.

You can buy the tins on there own, but unfortunately I live in the UK. If anyone really did want one I can get them and send them over, dont know how much the airmail would be ?

Zang, how many buffers does your sip01/02 use? Alan.

Digi's right its the board from huangyong, but I hope he means cut the pad on the "Right Channel" The case is a Hammond Engineering, about the only descent case you can get in the UK, personally I prefer the aluminum heastsink cases Digi uses. Zang, when you say solid buffers, do you mean like the "Glassman" buffers, if so I would defiantly have a set of boards for them. Alan.

Hi, Didn't want to hijack huangyong's build post, but wanted show some pictures of my PPA build. Still not complete, but nearly there. have used Panasonic FC 470uf & 220uf capacitors, Koa Speer resistors, and have socketed the Gain resistors. I did get some ELNA Cerafine caps but have decided to keep them for a PPA2 or M3. As you see I have socketed the input, LED, power and switch for easy maintenance if needed. Still have to fit the Alps pot.

Sorry, I think I may have confused things. I was explaining to Username just to notch the lid of the Altoids tin so it would close. My Cmoy is the Classisc Cmoy as Jasonhanjk says.

Hi Username, I use a Dremel tool with a round stone grinding wheel in it, but I don’t see why you can’t just use a small ½ round file. The one thing I would say is that the red paint is very thin, so I always cover it with masking tape for protection. As you see by the pictures you don’t have to remove much metal to get it to close. Alan.

Hi, Just notch the lid a little, I use the same pot, but switched on my Zippo amps, they are smaller tins than the Altoids and they fit fine. Pic 1 Pic 2
