    X-Feed

There was this guy in head-fi who attached his x-feed to his Gilmore directly via a male to male connector. Not too sure though. Speak with Mike, see if he add in two cables for you in the input.

    X-Feed

I got it for 33.50 quids(pounds) coz I am in UK and the shipping is slightly cheaper, I am not too sure what price is the shipping to Singapore or Brunei. If you want you can check with him, he is a really nice bloke. BTW he did the mods to the X-cans for me. His name is Mike and his e-mail mcg@vipnet.co.uk

    X-Feed

Just received my X-feed today after some minor setback. After burning in for 4 hours, I decided to give it a listen. I popped in Enya's CD; Only Time. Initial impressions: Wow! I have never heard such open sound stage before!! All the instruments and vocals are so well "spaced". None of the instruments or vocals jump at you, it just presents itself. The other thing I notice was the bass, it was much stronger and more defined then before. Bear in mind that my equinox cable and one of my interconnects were still in the burn in stage. These are other reviews of the X-feed in head-fi http://www4.head-fi.org/forums/showthread....8981#post398981 Attached is a pic of the X-Feed on top of my Sudgen. The quality is not that great as it is taken using my PDA.

    Hello!

    Welcome antness.
  6. Sorry can't help you on that, no idea at all.
  7. Hey Mackie, I think you are right, the nice super cool box is one the major deciding factors for purchasing the DT880. One more thing I need to check with you, any possibilities of a cable change in for the DT880?
  8. Wow, the blue LED sure looks cool. Hmmm will get that done when I get back. Will be getting my X-cans tomorrow, Will post my first impression. Can't wait for tomorrow!!
  9. Hi everyone, I dun mind pooling in as well. The R10 is like the GOD of all dynamic headphones. Dun mind paying $50 for an hour. Count me in.
  10. Definately Enya. Her voice is so soothing and it carries some much emotions. It just melts my heart away.
  11. The place which my friend (Pinkie) got the tubes from is : http://www.highendaudio.co.uk/spares.htm However the only downside is that this company is in UK. BTW, there is an auction on a batch of tubes going on in the Ebay. Not too sure if the auction has already ended
  12. The other alternative is from this website, it is 149.95. Saves you 5 cents. Not too sure regarding the shipping. http://www.audioadvisor.com/store/productd...p?sku=CARHEAD10 The other cable you could try is the Stefan Audioart Equinox. Depending on the type of music and the systems you have, the Equinox may be a better option. You can read about the comparisons between the Clou Red, Cardas and the Equinox here. http://www4.head-fi.org/forums/showthread....=&threadid=8751
  13. Rameish, just to find out more. How would you defined a balanced system? I guess you are right, I should start listening to music instead of listening to my systems. Anyway after I get back from UK, I would pay you a visit to do an audition of the Grados. When I was auditioning the Sudgen Headmaster, I tried a pair of RS-2 with it and it sounded pretty good even when the amp was not burned in yet. Just wondering how it sounds after burning in. Well I am quite satisfied with my current setup right now, the Equinox is burning in as we speak. 48hrs more to go before I can do some serious listen. So far the details and the smooth mid range is lightyears ahead of the stock cable. The only downside is the bass is a tad lighter then the stock cable. Hopefully by the end of the burn in, it will sound much better.
  14. Hey Mackie your cat is really cute and sweet....
  15. Hi Rameish, my current setup NAD 541i-> Chord Chorus-> X-cans or Sudgen Headmaster. My cans are the HD600 with equinox and have ordered the DT880 from Mackie. Anyway I am still waiting for the X-cans to be returned from Pink Flyod as one of the tubes was found to be microphonic. He will get another set of tubes for me. I will try to meet up with you when I get back from UK as I may get a pair of Grados. BTW, do you know of any mods which can be carried out on the Sudgen Headmaster. So far the only person who does the mod was Carlo in headfi, still awaiting his reply though. I was thinking if it is possible to roll the op-amp? Any recommendations?
  16. The webmaster of this site is the one who made the mods for the X-cans for me. He is a really nice and friendly guy. I have ordered the X-feed from him as well.
  17. Any good sites to recommend? I am very new to tube rolling
  18. I am trying to get my hands on a pair of NOS Amperax Bugle Boys, they were supposed to be better then the Mullards. Know of anyone who could get them?
  19. Hmmm no idea how to solder. May try one day but not on my X-cans BTW, what other tubes have you experimented on your X-cans?
  20. Which age group is missing?
  21. Cool suggestion but I do not know how to do it coz all the mods were done for me by pinkie.
  22. No problem at all, but the review is going to take some time as it requires about 500hrs to burn in the new caps. In addition I will be going for holidays. Any once I have settled down I will post a review on the X-can v2, X-feed with Equinox (just arrived today).
  23. That is a lot of cats.... How do you move about without stepping on anyone of them?
  24. Just curious about the age group in this forum
