  1. How do I replace the cables? There does not seem to be a plug where you can pull the cable out from the earphones? Initial impression using my Iphone and Zen Vision is that the Triple Fi 10 has got a lot more bass weight as compared to my previous Shure E4C. The mid and highs seems to be better defined too. Diana Krall seems to have more presence and body and more "real". Instruments such as guitar from Lee Ritenour and John Mclaughlin, saxophone from David Sanborn and Sadao Watanable never sounded so real before on the E4C. I believe the Triple Fi 10 is not completely run-in yet. Anyone know how many hrs to run-in this set?
  2. Vpost just delivered triple 10 this morning . Now trying out on iPhone:)
  3. I should have bought 2 sets as well but was in a hurry to pick up my daughter from tuition and not familiar and not sure how good these IEMs are, I dare not commit to 2 sets when I executed the order. I used to have the Shure E4C before it broke down and this will be a replacement. Will this sound better than the Shure E4C?
  4. Actually I am asking for the difference between TripleFi 10 and TripleFi 10 Pro, because I read most on-line reviews referring to the TripleFi 10 Pro. http://www.amazon.com/Ultimate-Ears-Triple...60071014&sr=8-8 Too bad, I bought it too early as about a few hrs later, they were offering the Triple Fi 10 Vi version for the same price which I missed. I would love to use the VI version on my Iphone. Now I am waiting for Vpost to ship it to me. I will probably buy the accessories in Singapore as suggested.
  5. Last nite, happened to visit Amazon.com and noticed the TripleFi 10 on offer for US99. Bought one immediately. Anyone know what is the difference between this and the TripleFi 10 Pro as most on line reviews that I read referred to the 10 Pro? What other accesssories should I buy together as it will be shipped to Vpost and I can consolidate the shipment? Thanks!
  6. Thank you all for your advise. Do you think the SE530 will be alot better than my Shure E4C? Does the SE530 need a portable headphone amplifier for it to sound good?
  7. Hi,l a friend is looking for best price for the above earphones. What is the current best price and who is the dealer here. As for me, I am using the E4C. Do you think it makes much difference in sound quality to upgrade it to SE530? I am currently using a Creative Zen Vision 60Gb.
  8. The shop is "Avit Link Pte Ltd" located at #02-66 at Sim Lim Square. The cable used is Supra cable which is made in Sweden.
  9. Mine is the 340. About 2 wks since I bought it and I've ripped almost 2000 songs mostly on WMA at 192. Too lazy to use OGG as it takes too long on my old computer. As for my EW9, it is probably less than 30 hrs. Any ideal how long it takes belong runnin in? The meet was a success and thanks to Martin for organising it. Learnt a lot from all the regular forummers especially fun trying out the various headsets and portable amps.
  10. I've the 340 downloaded the 1.27 Europe version and I have no problem watching the sample video from the same Iriver website. The only problem is finding other videos that can be played back on the 320/340 as it needs to be the exact specs as in the download specs.
  11. It is my mistake. It should be H340. Went to Sim Lim Square during lunch. The best price that I was quoted from Song Bros was $699 inclu GST but they claimed they have no stock and only have 1 last display set left. Three other shops (Merdeka and two others I can't remember) quoted $765 inclusive of GST. Maybe should visit Sitex on Thursday as they usually bundle with free gifts during shows.
  12. Plse add my name, I'll be there unless something urgent crops out.
  13. I'll most likely attend the gathering unless something urgent crops up. Would definitely like to meet all the gurus and learn something from them . Let me know the location. As for the Iriver H340, how much is it and where can I get the best price?
  14. Was listening to some 80s music on Lps. Yellow Magic Orchesra - XOO Multiples Suzanne Vega - Solitude Standing Grace Jones - Night Clubbing Talking Heads - Speaking In Tongues and some newer stuff on CDs : Neil Young - Greendale Peter Cincotti - On the Moon Laurie Anderson - Life on a string Casandra Wilson - Belly of the sun Cassandra Wilson - Sings Standards
  15. If you like to hear the sound of the Naim Headline, drop me a PM and you are welcome to audition it at my place.
  16. Thanks to all of you who responded to my queries. It really provides me alot of insight to the world of portable headphone amps that I'm totally unfamiliar with. I managed to buy a Dr Xin Super Mini over the weekend from a fellow forumer and I'm very happy with it. My next step is to buy a canal or earphones and a MP3 player. Would really like to compare the Shure E3C and ER4P which I heard are comparable in sound quality. Any advise on this? As for MP3 player, have added Iriver to my shortlist, the H340. Wondering anyone who is using it can comment the sound quality compared to IPOD and Creative. I listen to all types of music, pop, rock, jazz, new age, folk, classical. Thank you once again!
  17. I'm thinking of buying a portable headamp, likely to be used with a Creative Zen or Apple Ipod. The amp will be used for driving a Sennheisser HD600 (which I already owned) or a Etymotic ER6 or Shure E3C which I'm thinking of getting. I'm new to portable amps and headphones and maybe some of you expert can help me. Is the Headroom Total airhead any good or other amps that are better in value? Thanking you in advance. Note - for my home system, I'm using a Naim Headline to drive the HD600.
  18. How about trying Naim Headline? I'm using it with my HD600 and it sounded pretty good. You can get the Naim Headline from Hung Bros who is the official distributor. It probably cost less than a $1K.
