it is determined by both the sensitivity and impedance of the headphone.

the 5532 opamp operating voltage range is ±3V to ±20V. 1 battery is fine.

default gain of the amplifier based on the default values of the resistors is quite high for you to remove the pot completely. u will find it difficult to adjust ur volume. u will either have to reduce the gain or add the pot. wat is the opamp used? Whether 1 or 2 batts have to be used depends on this.

The 10K pot refers to a 10k ohm potentiometer (variable resistor). It is used to change the volume of your amplifier. It normally has 6 pins; 2 rows of 3 pins each. So, for the left/right channel, u normally connect 1 end to ur input jack input, the other end to the ground of ur jack and the middle pin to the 0.1uF in the schematic. The virtual ground is the ground split by the 2 4.7K resistors. Just connect this point to ur input jack and output jack grounds and all other ground points depicted in the schematic.

Hi, i have a problem with my sr60 cable. the cable at the Y connector leading to the left side of the headphone needs to be bend for the left side to be heard (shld be wire broken). is there any place to fix it? the headphone is less than 1.5 yrs old only. any advice is welcomed. thanks in advance.

only bad thing i find abt grado sr60 is that it is not exactly that comfortable. it gets tiring to wear it. but the sound is really great. suits me as i dun like the sennheiser's kind of laid back sound.
