Hey, I just like to know about your opinion about AKG271S. I am currently using the HD280 Pro for 2 years. And as I preferred a closed sound isolation headphone so I had not much choices left. I am more into Jazz, Pop, Vocal & all kinds of nice sentimental music but not into rock, heavy metal, hip-hop & disco type songs. Thanks in advance.

Just try not listening to so loud. My ears are now having problem. I am using HD280 Pro ( 64 ohms ) & the Iriver H340 volume just need to set to 25 is already loud enough for me. Anyway, I am using a portable amp now.

You can get the Velcro Strap from any stationary bookshop & hardware shop. Another name for it is Book Strap. But the width is too wide ( 2.5 cm ). The one that you mentioned is not for heavy duty. I saw it also at SLT but tying amp & player don't know is it tight enough. I intend to buy the velcro with a width of 1.5 cm and do 1 myself......

Is this player still available in Singapore ? How it compared to Iriver H340 audio quality ? Does it come with audio line out ? Thanks.

Anybody had tried this new headphone ? Just like to know how this compared to HD280 Pro. Thought of going down to Bluetin to try but it's too late.

That's how. It's very easy to find a player with line out nowadays but they are all not true line out. Even the Iriver H1xx & H3xx are also not true line out.

I think its what you are looking for. IEM ===> Good isolation but feel very uncomfortable with something shafting in your ear. Headphone ===> Good sound but look funny if you wear it outside. I am using HD280 Pro for about 2 years. And this headphone offered the best isolation even in noisy environment. I am yet to find another replacement but the problem is always the isolation.

Let me get my SMIV first. Basically, this is my first portable amp & I might have a problem identifying the channel. Single & dual op-amp ? How is the configuration like & what it mean ? I had also ordered a pair of compensation sockets for AD797. An AD797 configuration picture will be much better. Thanks.

I think I wanted to cancelled my order already ( 3 months & still no new yet ). The waiting time is superly long. By the way, do you need to solder a capacitor on the AD797 as wat I see from Ron's picture ?

COEM products are all from China. I doubt they sell other countries product. I think its quite common to find fake product made in China. But China also have very hi-end product. Their high end product is also not cheap. The best is to buy from Oyaide Dealer ( Xaudio ) to be assure of geniue product.

I think you should consider how much storage space you want before buying. If you are into really high SQ, definitely 1 or 2 GB is not enough. I think its still wiser to get a 20GB or more MP3 player. Of course the more the merrier. U will notice roughly which storage space MP3 player had a higher demand by just looking at it's price.

I think Apple had already dominate the mp3 market. Their marketing strategy is the best. Their service is also good. But talking about which mp3 player sound good is very subjective. I personnally don't like Apple mp3 player, found that they are too clean & digital. What you can do is to try them up yourself & see which sound suit you. I only can think of these 4 popular brands, Apple, Iriver, Iaudio & Creative no doubt they are others. I am using EAC to rip my cd songs. 1 song ~7MB ( depend on recording ). Do take note that higher quality sound = higher storage space.
