Hung Bros have lahz, and for good price too, I think most of us here know that But for people like me who live in the north, and Stereo Electronics being only a stone's throw away from my home, I got it from Stereo considering I can save on transport fees. Quite sure other people living near the north also thing the same way. But for people who live down near the town areas or for people who have easier access to SLS, Hung Bros is the way to go Whatever it is, just enjoy the CK7, its the most important thing

The noise cancelling microphones sometimes (OK, not sometimes, in fact its most if not all the time) do interfere with the music output by the speakers, most obvious in quiet environments, creating a somewhat 'sucked and suppressed' feeling when you're listening to your music. IEMs or closed-cup/closed type headphones would be better buys. If your ears accept them, BiFlanges (15-20+ dB reduction) and TriFlanges (30+ dB, the ER4 provides up to 42 dB of isolation) work better than the best ANC technology noise reduction feature (headphones usually cuts off 16dB or lower at most if I remember right, that Phillips HN-060 has only 10 dB noise reduction) without compromising sound quality.

The LMX-E630 good value for money in terms of sound quality IMO. The driver type is dynamic Neodymium magnet, and the burning in time for the LMX-E630 is about 6 hours, which is considered very short. According to what I heard from a friend and hardwarezone member, be sure that your player is not bass shy though, otherwise they might have difficulty pumping out the bass potential of the LMX-E630. Be forewarned that the design of the LMX-E630 is not for everyone's ears. It first took me 3 days to adjust to the shape of its huge driver housing (the big ball) before finally being comfortable with it.

^ You might want to try the UE's Bi-flange tip. In helps bringing the isolation and seal up, very important in getting a good bass response. Using them on my CK7 made them sound bassy enough right off the bat

I got my Cresyns for 49.90 down at the Apple Centre in Sim Lim Square. Finally gave in today... Got the CK7 from Stereo Electronics a few hours ago and comboed them with my UE Super-Fi Bi-flange... The result was heavenly... even before the burn in I'm glad I took this risk despite being having tested and finding its treble very sharp (not harsh), and now with the bi-flange... things can only get better. Nice soundstaging, 'humming presence' is now there, trebles and mids are just nice and very enjoyable. Tested them at 'Normal' EQ, BBE 2, M3Bass 0, MP Enhance On and 3D Pan 2, volume 22 And now, my 'upgraditis' syndrome is finally gone... and I can save money once more! Hmmm, your opinions for the UM2 and ER6i as compared to the CK7 are somewhat similar yet rather different from my experiences with them. From what I've experienced UM2 (tested with modified Bi-flange tip) and CK7: Whilst I agree that the UM2 has simply too much bass, I would disagree that the CK7 as better bass quality as compared to the CK7. IMHO, the soundstage of the UM2 makes the soundstage of the CK7 sound puny in comparison, but the overpowering (although clean, unlike the flabby MDR-EX51/71/81) bass makes me prefer the CK7 over the UM2. Though I find that the CK7 has a narrower, if not puny, soundstage as compared to the UM2, the instrumental separation was much, much clearer, perhaps no thanks to the UM2's overpowering bass. From what I tested, the CK7 has very punchy bass, but more often than not, its bass lacks 'humming presence' that is present in my current Cresyn LMX-E630 (I think of it as the 200Hz EQ adjustment in my iAudio U3). ER6i (Using a modified Shure Gray single flange tip)and CK7: Balancewise though, I think that the ER6i is more balanced as compared to the CK7, since the CK7's bass can be very punchy, and its treble is very enhanced IMO, and the ER6i's bass extension extends deeper as compared to the CK7. On the sound graph, I find that the ER6i is almost flat all over, whereas the CK7 has a heightened bump in-between the 200Hz-1000Hz (I tend to think of it as the bass punchiness area) region, then flat throughout until it starts to shoot up slightly in the 3000Hz region all the way up to the 16000Hz region, whereafter I can't pick-up anything else. Its mids sound a very slight bit bit recessed as compared to the ER6i. Wouldn't call the ER6i weak in bass, its bass is very sweet and mellow (At my custom EQ for it). Not as punchy as the CK7 of course, but after some EQ adjustments on my U3, t sounds very nice and pleasant. Almost heavenly. The presence of its bass is better tan that of the CK7 IMO. However, the ER6i has some problems that plague me a bit when testing: Microphonics. I didn't move around with them a lot when testing them, but somehow, I think it woud be even worse than my current ATH-CK5 in terms of microphonic problems (I've had it bad with the ATH-CK5). CK7: Bass is VERY punchy, its midrange is clear, but sounds cold at the same time, and its treble is very very crisp, if not a bit sharp to my ears. I tried turning the 3kHz and 16kHz bars up in my U3, and ouch, it started scratching. On normal EQ, its bass resence left me wanting, but the problem can be resolved with a bit of tweaking on the 50Hz, 200Hz bars and the M3Bass feature of the iAudio player. Planning to get the CK7 too, and I'm probably going to use the Ultimate Ears Super Fi Bi-flange tip on it to increase bass presence and reduce the treble sharpness... Though I need to think up of how to counter its mid-range mufledness that will be caused by the tip. The 1kHz bar is what I really hate touching the most. Extra note, regarding my ATH-CK5: To my ears, the UE Super-fi tips increased the bass presence of my ATH-CK5 and balances its very strong mids and a bit of a harsh treble. Did nothing to the bass punchiness though, which is something the ATH-CK5 is a little weak in at the first place (I've mine burnt it for 48 hours straight in a row with my PCDP, an then with my old Muvo plugged onto the power socket for almost 3 days straight, and then altering it back to my PCDP again + Some testings and ormal usage). All in all, the burn in process for the CK5 takes an exxagerated almost 200hours Bonus pics: My current portability rig: My UE's Bi-flange tip when I tested them with Creative's EP630:

Hmmm, maybe one day we should come up with a small little gathering between those who own the CK7 and HJE70? Test tracks using WAV/FLAC/PCDP?

$120 for the CK7? Wah, I would buy them for sure if I coulda gotten them to fit my ear... which unfortunately they don't *cries* Back when I got to test them, love the clarity of these phones, and the bass is VERY punchy IMO.

^From reviews thus far, I read that the E2C has quite a weak bass output. Some people said that thay like the treble, but some said that the treble is too over-emphasized and sharp.
