I don't think they're really monitors.. more like stereophile earphones? I'm not very sure.. monitoring purposes would want as flat a response as possible right..
-
where'm I able to find these alternative opamps anyway?
-
maybe not something too ex but I'm sure at 300 he's not looking for some measely stock earphones...
-
fubar is another brand of amps and Dac but i think not at stereo...
-
hmmm how's the toma compared to the D2? or fubar?
-
anyone know if the superpro dac can even compare to this dac at all? I already thought I had quite alot of difference with this esp since it's supposed to be using one of the high end chips..
-
of course the issue would then be the easy "losability" of those many small parts.. esp on the go..
-
IEM = In ear monitors. something like canal phones where they're inserted deeper into the ear and have an isolating effect from surrounding noise.

chamoxa at simlim square has a dac called the superpro at about 200 odd. Been using it half a year now... pretty good.. affordable too. Apparently uses one of the highest ended DAC chips.. the CS4398

is it true that we should all use VBR now?
-
I've read abit about sleek audio.. apparently pretty good and it's cool too. You can actually "EQ" the monitor itself by replacing some filters in the phones itself.
-
ok so transcoding is off limits.... got it!!
-
yeah it really depends what you mean by more powerful speakers. I think you could use an amp if you just wanna listen with your earphones. but to power full passive speakers.. then I'm not so sure..
-
so jist of the story is to just listen to lossless?
-
what about converting an mp3 to aac?
-
