  1. Woah damn... Any word on pricing? Interesting news... It does look like one of the Shures eh? But looking at Shure's website I can't see any of their products that look like it. Definitely very interesting. You can always count on Creative to come out with budget alternatives of more expensive earphones. *Looks at Senn CX300* Then again, with the Apple vs Creative lawsuit, I don't think Creative is likely to win that lawsuit. Who knows they might have to close down, then we will end up with no support of customer service if anything goes wrong.
  2. Positive, for my case where I helped my friend to order one, Gary said it will take 5-10 working days to arrive. Maybe you wait a few more days first?
  3. No problem, however do remember that you can always head down to Stereo Electronics to audition these two phones. I think they have both the Cresyn and Creative.
  4. I didn't have time to go through 20 plus pages worth of threads, but what's the status of this amp? It will be really nice to have our very own homegrown Singaporean amp.
  5. I heard from somewhere that the Shure E5s are actually the same as the UM2s. Is that true?
  6. trashley do keep ahdui and my feedback on the Cresyn in mind: The ball really gets in the way of proper sound isolation. You will need a pair of earplugs like the Shure tri-flange to get good isolation. With the standard ear-plugs, you will have trouble enjoying the music in the MRT and the like.
  7. Yes I experienced the problem with imbalanced channels too. For my friend's case, the problem also goes away at higher volumes. Somehow, while the PA2V2 does somehow help to bring out some low detail sounds that were veiled before, it also makes the music more fatiguing. I don't know how to explain this, I could just lie on my bed listening to my music without the amp, but with the PA2V2 I have to take it off and rest after about half an hour of listening. Positive the PA2V2 should take about 5 to 7 days to arrive. Incidentally, since I ordered the PA2V2 on behalf of my friend, I asked Gary to solder a socket and install the LM4881 onto the socket to so as to allow some op-amp rolling opportunities. He said that the TI TPA6111A2 is compatible with the LM4881. Do you guys know of any compatible op-amps?
  8. cmk what do you think of it? My friend just got his recently, and he was kind enough to lend it to me for 2 days. While there was a slight improvment in sound, it was a bit too slight for me to spend $56. Gary's service is excellent though.
  9. I forgot to add something very important! Cresyn's earbuds are HORRIBLE out of the box! What happens is that the Cresyn phones are shaped like this: O= You slip the earbud over the = part. The O part is where the driver is, presumably. What happens is that due to the size of the O part, the earbud does not go entirely into your ear, as the O part is so big that it prevents proper entry into your ear. The result is horrible sound isolation. My friend has to DIY his own earbuds, using a combination of earplugs he bought from Guardian and Audio-Technica CK7 earbuds.
  10. I have the Creative EP-630, and my friend has the Cresyn E-630. The E-630 sounds horrible in my opinion, with sounds of all ranges being very muddy. My EP-630 is better. Bass might be a bit overwhelming if the earbuds you use are too big for your ears. The key lies in finding the right fit, but this applies to most IEMs. I don't have the CK7, but it will be the next IEM I will buy. I have heard alot of good things about it, however it depends on what kind of sound you prefer. The CK7 is supposed to produce a cold clinical sound, which is what I prefer since I like to be able to hear each and every instrument distinctly. If you like the warm Grado-type or Burr-Brown type sound the CK7 might not be for you.
  11. Dude I laughed reading this Assuming population of Singapore=4 Million 4 Million * 0.00000000000000000001% = 0.0000000000000004 Here we have 0.0000000000000004 of a person posting a review I know what you trying to say but it sounds funny. Anyway, yeah most Singaporeans aren't into audio equipment. All my friends excluding one are perfectly happy with stock Nokia Earphones, Stock Ipod or cheapo Sonys. Finding a fellow audiophile girl using Shures would really be a dream.
  12. Creative gonna implement X-Fi into their DAP lines? Got link? I wanna read!!!
