its good for 2 channel abit too bright for some pple. it really brings forward the sound. and definitely not as warm as Envy 24 chips based cards I've owned EMU 0404 and terratec DMX Fire LT before and I sold off the EMU 0404

saw them selling at tat chuan audio at $720. personally never try them before....but i bet its not a great difference from the legendary Klipsch Promedia THX 2.1 which u can get abt $200+

bro problem is for nEar 04, u need to be at the "sweet spot" to enjoy the presence of the speaker. I mean if u r gonna fill a room with music, these speakers wun do that job. hope i dun offend anyone.pls comment

bro, the tube sound plugin adds more distortion and softens the clarity. IMO it kinda sucks when compared to a real tube amp.

Did you add in the tube sound plugin for foobar2000? that makes it sound really good. bro my MS2i also sound very good liao......u using MS PRO so should sound even better but yeah using it with my laptop and audigy 2 ZS PCMCIA. I played an original HDCD and was wowed by its clarity. Nearly cried Yup no need portable amp thats the nicest thing. If have also very minor marginal difference cos I tried with a tube amp before
