true, some renditions are great, but some are seriously example is cradle of filth's rendition of hallowed be thy name, not saying that COF is a bad band, but that particularly rendition is simply terrible

what i am not sure is my source, as in is the source good enough to justify the money paid for the amp to improve the overall sound quality?

using ath fc7 cans now,source is sony NW-E507. and reading this forum, i kinda got abit "gian" on amps any idea if using an amp will significantly improve the music quality through the cans? or is the cans too lousy? also read about past threads about more newbie amps such as crossroads and the PA2V2, are these worth their buck for their bang? cause i think i wanna start out small, get some ideas of what these are about before going for an audition, so as not to embarass myself totally!!! and also quite a bit about interconnects that i dont understand. what kind of interconnect should i get if i want a brighter sound and a tighter bass?cause to my ears, the FC7 sound abit too dark for my liking, even though the bass is decent,the cymbal crashes(i listen to rock n roll) sound abit dull enlighten me!!!

after using my cans for a while, noticed a slight but irritating problem, cable entanglement. any idea of how to go about it? are there any dedicated items for cable management? and any tips of how to maintain L-shaped heads in proper condition? thanks

hahaha the screenless design was a reason why i went with my sony mp3 rather tahn the shuffle sometimes dont you have a sudden urge to listen to a particular song? then u wanna listen, also have to see heng suay but the new shuffle definitely looks great, seriously small and beautiful design!

i dunno why, everytime i see an ibud, this "i have an ipod" look is often on the face on teenage wearers. everytime i see that look, i think hey dont these people know that ibuds are crap? and they all wear it like its a fashion accesory, really doubt if they got the ipod for listening to music, or for looking cool.....

comfort is supremely important!!!! my fc7's are bashing my ears!! hahahaha seems that stereo will allow you to aucition for a loooong time, just ask for permission. know that, cause thats what he told me! audition for an hour!!! hahah but dun audition audition audition for damn long then dont buy..........

got my ATH fc-7's from jaben, quite happy with it, except for one problem. the headband is damn stiff, my ears keep on being "kiaped" by it tightly, feels like a clam shell.even though it achieves a great seal, makes wearing it over a long duration painful! is there anyway to reduce the headband's stiffness or making the pads more comfortable?
