i use a multimeter to check out resistance both the pot. both L and R shows 0 and 10k when they should. my friend was suggesting it one of the caps that is giving me the problem. but i have no idea how to do so.

hi guys, i have a mini3 too. my Right channel is shorted somehow. just turn on, and volume becomes max. left channel follows the pot. only right side doesnt. can anyone help me check it up or fix it up? will pay a small fee.

how do i unsolder the pot? throw a huge lump of solder and melt all 8 points together? and try pulling it out?

would anyone like to help me with this?

my one side went very soft. suspected somewhere shorted. anyone wans to help me take a look? nowadays no time to dig out my soldering kit and inspect the pcb. =x

prob what we need is a MO? nowadays no time to go hunt for the parts. ns took a big chunk off me

haha. i delayed it till now and yet to collect it. can i give it away to anyone that wish to diy their own mini3? as i got my own panels made already. =)

i second the mini3. fantastic for it's price. but i started off with a cmoy too. to understand the fundamentals. then can appreciate the mini3 when you take a cmoy as reference.

problem kinda solved. hope it doesnt come back again. where can i get the alcohol to clean my board?

I think my mini3 alps pot is spoilt. left chanel working fine but right chanel seems shorted. when i try to shake it a bit, the sound on right chanel sometimes work and sometimes gets shorted resulting in line level to phones. anyone has a spare alps pot?
