if u scroll up abit, you can see Koba electronics. i got all my caps, wallmart, leds and thermal comound from koba, resistors and regulator from farnell. and thermal compound really needed! it gets real hot!! haha

The words on the panels are a lil grey. I cant seem to make them white. And i got the panels fabricated free! Actually can make even more, i just need to pay for acrylic. Btw, the default screws seem fine and has a low profile. I was initially quite worried as it didnt have countersunk holes. It comes out well. Sidetrack a lil.

i use the multimter sound function to check for shortage. as long as shorted, it gives a beep. very useful. so far, i'm not getting any shorts. didnt use any flux and used non-conducting thermal compound. btw, mouz, you going to get the acrylic? Wanna ask, if engrave on black acrylic, how white can the text go?

i check with my friend and he refered me to this ship ying kwang. they have matt frosted black acrylic. http://www.yingkwang.com/colorCode/mattAcrylic.htm btw, i did my front panels for my alien dac today and the engraving words didnt appear white. it was grayish instead. Looks cool. How i wish it could be pure white.

hey i just build my mini3. working fine. hehehehe. its fantastic for such a small amp and comparable or even better than icute imho. not yet burned in. and lacking the batteries. btw, i help you look out for the matt black acrylic today. i'm going to my friend place to make my alien dac panels. hopefully it work out well. i help you check with my friend if it is possible to get matt black anywhere. maybe there might be some lying around.

LOD = Line-Out Device. The one you can get from crossroads @ jaben or can get via the above mentioned website. I think they have the 3.5mm socket one too. Anyway, i'm going to order from there as well. If you want, can join in save shipping.

Where can i get ipod lod besides crossroads? Dont want to have a 3.5mm socket in the LOD, but rather DIY myself with cables soldered in myself. Contacted AR but i didnt get a reply from them

managed to get all the caps and other stuffs at koba today. now whats left is the front panels!! btw, how should i apply the thermal compund? and for the battery, what you all suggest? seen some suggestions around but hoping to get a good 9v that fits
