  7. Well that's a good way to test the sound isolation, haha. Ah well that's typical of many Singaporeans right? And yes, the English translation goes something like "I want it good, cheap, fresh/new and also with BIG boo... er.. sound"
  8. You should have gone to the IT Show as there were many cheap earphones on sale that you could try out. Some even looked like Shure & other branded clones!
  9. Thanks but a bit far from where I am in Woodlands but will check it out if I'm in the area.
  10. I don't know about that but the reviews I read about it were mostly positive. I'm interested in it for it's overall performance as well as design, short/long cord length, price, etc.
  11. So far found them on eBay for US$99 - http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...:MEWA:IT&ih=023 with shipping to Singapore at US$9. Emailed the local agent but no reply yet.
  12. Can anyone tell where I can buy DENON AH-C551K earphones from and roughly how much they cost? ( Stereo Electronics doesn't have them. )
  13. How about the recently launched Altec Lansing UHP-301? Should be within your budget. I've no first-hand experience with them though.
  14. Try PC Zone Address: Shop unit#04-45/46, Causeway Point 1 Woodlands Square Singapore 738099. Tel/Contact: 68937469 Saw some there some time back. Suggest you buy a few to keep if you like them so much. Good luck.
  15. Yeah I don't like earphones sticking out so much. Prefer the low-profile ones like the upcoming q-Jays.
  16. From http://www.mobilewhack.com/sony-mdr-ex700sl-earphones/ The 16mm wide MDR-EX700SL is a significant addition to Sony's EX Monitor series earphones. It has sensitivity of 108dB/mW, impedance of 16Ω and delivers an output of 200mW. The earpieces has multiple layer diaphragms made from high polymer materials which reduce the vibrations while maintaining high sound quality. The stereo mini plug is gold plated and the cable is 1 meter long. Sony MDR-EX700SL earphones will go on sale in Japan on October 20 for 36,750 Yen ($ 315).
  17. See here. I'm using a Motorola SoundPilot but it's a bit bulky although it has built-in FM radio, backlit LCD display & earphone jack.
  18. haha have you seen Altoids chewing gum tins? Modded into torchlights by local guy too.
  19. Check out http://www.smartradio.sg/ for more info. There's a list here http://www.smartradio.sg/contents/inhomeproducts.htm I think Tangs has a wide range of DAB radios too. This MOS one looks pretty small but it's from the UK though. This Arion one is available locally I think.
  20. Friday, July 13th from: www.electronista.com Bang & Olufsen unveils luxury 4GB music player Related Articles Luxury home theater producer Bang & Olufsen today committed itself further to portable music with the Beosound 6. Instead of the Danish firm's past practice of relying on SD cards for storage on earlier Beosound models, the 6 includes 4GB of built-in flash and a more conventional sync process through USB. Less conventional is the inclusion of the company's A8 premium earbuds that promise good over-the-ear sound without the bulk of headphones. Battery life is rated at a complete 24 hours. Its minimal shape is said to be based on last year's Samsung YP-Z5 and includes a customized version of that player's software, which offers playback for MP3 and WMA music. Bang & Olufsen has only briefly alluded to the player on its pages and has not officially announced details, but plans to ship the Beosound 6 in the summer for about €625 ($862) bundled with both the A8 and a deluxe leather case. 21. The Mylar 3 should be SGD$65 & the XB SGD$75. You can contact Eugene at 91800328 to arrange for delivery to nearest MRT station. See here. If not then go to Stereo Electronics at Causeway Point to check out what they have in your price range & ask Aron for recommendations as well as testing out the earphones.
  22. Then you are a very lucky guy if you have a GF like that! Good hunting!
