I have a mix of relatively cheap Daiyo and relatively more costly Audioquest. I didn't really pay attention to them, or attempted to determine if there are any difference. One day I was re wiring my system and swapped some of the cable, I think I noticed a bigger sound stage, I checked and noticed that it was the Audioquest, formerly it was linked by the cheaper Daiyo. Is it my mind playing tricks on me? I don't know. And I didn't attempt to do further research as well, I hate doing comparison and prefer to enjoy my music. Don't know about portable, but my theory is the shorter is the cable, the less that it would alter the signal that it carries.

Btw K701 is somewhere in the middle of $500 and $600. Most of those models you mentioned are available for audition,I suggest you go and try them out and that would beat all our advices here.

I have not lived with DT880, but I compared DT880, DT990 (supposed to be "open") and DT150 at jaben. IMO DT880 is closer to DT990 than to DT150 in terms isolation. Of course, these are subjective and I don't have a sound meter to measure them. Yeah my ears sweat too with circumaural headphones.
