Curious as why you didn't connect via tape out for headphone amp from your current system? As that tape out will get signal from whatever source you selected, isn't it? Care to elaborate about your system setup?

This is a yes! But why a need for an amp to use w/ iPhone? Various methods of attaching an amp for the iPhone if you don't mind the cumbersome ! Just my 2 cents, I will rather leave the iPhone alone & thus getting another player for the sole purpose of playing music! (no offense)

Will you consider separates ( 1 x Tube DAC, 1 x Headphone amp) This will give you more flexibility in future upgrades (should there be any requirement) Just my 2 cents!

Every other day also have so many people wearing earphones onboard public transport. Some of them even causing noise polution (those blasting loudly or low quality earphones that leaks a lot) Nevertheless, Monster audio range of earphones are marketed with those Artist endorsements (up market products) & also the A & P costs in which are payable by us end consumers (same applies to the rest of other brands)! That's also a reason for the increase in parallel importers bring in similar products as the local distributors!

Like what nekatrall mentioned the Sennheiser PMX-70 sports headphones, I will second to that as well. If you wanted heavy bass, Sennheiser generally gives a more balanced / natural sound. Or you may also look into this model; http://www.sennheiser.com/sennheiser/home_..._mp3_sport-line

Nike sport headphone are of average sound quality. The advantage is they are built for weather proof? But after all, it's gonna be your personal liking! IMO, look for those companies that until today still making headphones / earphones rather than whatever you name it, they also produce! Just my 2 cents opinion!
