The dream of modding a ksc75 started when I saw the headfi thread which modded a ksc75 into a headband. So my ksc1000 has been a dream come true for me. Unfortunately as with the saying all good thing must come to an end. The lack of funds and using my HD580 as my main headphone, the time has come to let go of my beloved KSC-1000. I offered Lifetime warranty because I wanted to keep close tabs on how and where my KSC-1000 is doing. Oh forgot to mention the Lifetime Warranty will be transferable. Regards, Hellfire

Nice pictures, great meet. If I could choose another can to take home beside my own 580, it would definitely be the Aron modded W1000. Keeping thinking about the sound. For SS amps, the NAIM is definitely the best SS amp that I tried so far.

i called after cny and once in feb. both time different person take down my contact and my name. say will call me when got stock. now i work office hours also dunno when got time to go down even if they got stock. their service is really totally no follow up one.

A Major/Minor revamp of my rig is in the works and the time has come to let go my KSC-1000 for some much need funds. Asking price is $SOLD (which is less than the total cost to build it) I will personally offer Lifetime Warranty for this 1 and only KSC-1000. Cost of parts to be replaced will be borne by buyer. Hope this can find a good new home.

yup. sennheiser service centre no stock. i ordered like in january still no news. called them twice they say will look into it. i gave up hope on them liao.

i thought warranty for Jays is 2 years? got a d-jays myself and my impression is that it has 2 yrs warranty. At least that what Jays write on their website.

i used to own a d1001 briefly and i've auditioned the hd555 quite a while back. think the d1001 will be a much suitable gift for your friend as compared to the hd555.

i personally use ferrite cores on my usb cables. same question on my mind also.

i'll be bringing mine. Acer Aspire 5580. Actually i should be bringing my full home rig, laptop>d3>mini to rca>mhm>hd580. btw my dad should be tagging along if he's free on that day.

maybe we should start a thread titled: "Guess how long before and what new toy jojo will be getting next" cable cooking is giving me heart attacks man. The changes it keep going through is scary. At 0 hrs, my 580 was totally a different beast. At 13hr 35min. the sound was pure magic. At 18hrs and counting currently, sounded wrong. letting it run in now. never heard so much difference in sound changes during burn in before. anyway calvin thanks for cooking my 580. i am now a firm believer in the power of cable cooking. could do without the heart attacks that comes with the aftermath thou.

The transformer size totally trash the dac-3 2 twin transformer combined. lol

Hey guys, need some opinions. been looking for a source as some of you guys here know. finally decided to aim for a DAC with optical and usb inputs over a entry level cd player. i been looking at headfi for answers but still couldnt decide on which one to get, either they were out of my budget or they just didnt fit my requirements. saw a Valab NOS DAC and Ack! Industries dAck! 1.2e (NOS DAC) for sale at prices within my tiny budget and it got me a bit interested in NOS DAC. read up a bit and seems like NOS DAC do not use any op amps and they are non-oversampling. please correct me if i am wrong. anyone have any experience with NOS DACs? which are the good ones?(i don really trust headfi hypebeasts) thanks.
