I only have one with silmic II. I am thinking of a comparison between BG LOD and Elna silmic II LOD.

Yup, the main reason is because its much easier to get. I find it illogical to chase after something that is already out of production, and i couldnt bring myself to pay a few bucks for a capacitor. Furthermore, there are multiple sources on the internet that suggests that the ELNA Silmic II is as good, if not better than the black gates. Blackgates has got this "legendary" status, but think about it, how can it be possible that not 1 modern (and existing) company can produce caps that match the blackgates? Caps are something that improves with tech, although the materials used obviously plays a big part. But truth to be said, i have never heard a blackgate before. If anyone of ya got a SXC blackgate LOD, lets have a comparison and write a review about it. It should be interesting.

Yeah it really looked nice. But Woodlands is simply too far for me to go there frequently to try out the LODs. I am applying for an internship to 3M though, haha. If i get the internship, i definitely will be going causeway point frequently.

I tried making a iMod LOD today after receiving the caps i brought. Well, it should be interesting to some people, just thought i share. VERY tight space inside. i consider myself super lucky that i even made it. The sound is, erm, alright i guess. Not that much different from a new LOD i recently developed, but havent post pictures of it yet.

Oh, alright. I misunderstood that blackmouth0 meant 2 armature drivers.

The SF5pro EB does not have dual drivers. It got a dynamic and a armature driver. The SF5pro itself got pretty good bass already, and i think it would fit more ears than the EB.

Paiseh for the weird reply up there. I was not in a good mood just now, haha, but i guess anyone who read your post carefully would think that way. On second thoughts, since i have never heard the SF5 and SF4 before, my best recommendation is for you to head down to Stereo Electronics at causeway point and hear them yourself.

I feel u should rephrase your question. I really really really feel like responding, but i do not qualify because you would like to hear from someone who "owns them all". Quite hard to find. I only own a TF10, SF5pro and heard SF3.

Lol, using mundorf is kinda overkill isnt it? But if you really intend to use mundorfs its better to pair it up with a copper one too. if not you will find the bass lacking. (thats what a ER4 fren told me)

Its available at Koba. Not aware of the brand though, if there is any. I didnt get that plug because it looks out of place with my designs. But it went well with the plug dennis made.
