  1. Price wise most of the time it becomes cheaper but the waiting time increases slightly. Shipping a typical headphone, IEM or 1kg would cost about 20 SGD
  2. I can help you replace the jack for a fee but as for the earpads, I can't help you with it
  3. You can use this site called comgateway it will cost about 20-30sg to ship 1kg to Singapore Use the free super savers shipping to get it to comgateway and then after that ship from comgateway to Singapore. It really isn't very expensive. Usually headphones would be around 1kg volumetric weight. If you need any help do pm me.
  4. I've already voided quite a few warranties doing this but to me it is all worth it simply because usually the weakest link in headphones are the cables. Not only do most of them sound bad, the build quality isn't too good either and hardly do you ever see headphones spoiling because the drivers are dead but because the cables are damaged.
  5. I think we should be comparing the UM3X with the SE530 because the SE535s sound very different from the original SE530s I have not done a side by side comparison but I very much prefer the 530 for the smoothness in the vocals. It seems to sweeten everything up very well.
  6. The AD700 can be found in Stereo. I'm not too sure about the K271 though...
  7. I use mundorf silver solder which cannot be found in Singapore as far as I know. Switchcraft plugs cost $8 each. Half of Viablues
  8. We know that to many people, Birthdays are an extremely special day so Plexcio Acoustics is offering you a special treat on your birthday ALL year round! Let us know if it's your Birthday and we'll give you a 20% discount off your purchase! Visit us here
  9. I use silver solder mainly for the improved strength. I do feel silver solder is worth it because it isn't a whole lot more expensive.
  10. Do practice on Neutrik plugs when you're just starting. Perhaps the most practical plug to me is the Switchcraft plugs as the plugs are more sturdy and easier to solder compared to Viablue plugs. Viablue plugs do look good in pictures but when it came to the real life object I wasn't so impressed with the plastic feel and the stress relief isn't great either Performance wise, unless you have ears that are so extremely sensitive, there's practically no difference.
  11. I just got the Acoustic Revive QR-8s earlier today and had a nice chat with the guy from X Audio. I'm pretty impressed at what these little things can do... even to a portable rig. It's as if I changed the amp to a much better one. The sound feels so much fuller and yet clarity is hardly compromised at all Very very good stuff. =D
  12. How about the Sonic Gear Earpumps? They're pretty much the most decent in ears you could get for 30 bucks
  13. It really depends if you like the sound because spending about 300 bucks so revive it is already more than what you bought it for.
  14. I would say the ESW9 is a great choice. Relaxing and warm it's extremely pleasent

  19. Shure you can try bluetin.com I've tried buying from them once and I must say they take care of their customers quite well
  20. Haha Digital Life. I pretty much only trust whatever they say on build quality. Reviews wise you're really better off looking around in Head-fi or around here although the impressions of 'good' earphones change pretty frequently. For example in Head-fi, the IE8s they were raved a huge amount when they first appeared in the market and now every one just likes to condemn them.
  21. We now provide Sansa Fuze line out docks at the same rate as iPod line out docks!
  22. Why not try modding and amping your ipod? It will sound much better compared to the headphone out
