  1. It's been awhile since I last used a Mac, but... The "funky slash thing" stands for "alt/option", because the line is taking the alternate path (it's not going to the short line). The X character could be the command/Apple key.
  2. Stax are usually pretty amazing. If they're cheap, buy 'em! Note you'l need an electrostatic headphone amplifier or Stax transformer box to use them.
  3. http://www.audiogeek.net/nitrogen The revolutionary ProSink termination gives these cables true giant-killer status. "They really sound unlike any other cable I've heard- brutally revealing, great mids, huge bass...." (Jon Beilin) "In terms of detail and sheer accuracy, I believe the nitrogens best my VD reference and probably the original Nites as well... That's why recommending Eric's cable to anyone at his pricepoint is a no brainer." (dd3mon) Give 'em a try; mention you want the option to return 'em when you order them, and in the unlikely event you don't like them you can send 'em back for a refund. US$130/m or US$110/0.5m.
  4. Hello... I'm the guy with the headphones you call the Orpheus... they aren't. The Orpheus is the HE90 headphones with the HEV90 tubed amplifier... I'm running my HE90s off a Kevin Gilmore-designed solid state amplifier I built myself.
