well... i currenly unplug the headphones... but cos i do it on a daily basis... it wont be good for both my AVR and the headphone jack right? from past exp i spoilt my soundcard headphone jack that way... after a few mths no sound or only from 1 side... i dont know how to make my own either lol

hmm... here's my problem... i am using a Yamaha AVR... everyday i use speakers and at night i use headphones... but seems like there is no way i can leave the headphones plugged into the AVR and change the sound output to the speakers... thus i was told to get a headphone amp. as i'm pretty much broke now... how much would the cheapest headphone amp cost? and where to get it?

can i bring to some shop in SLS or SLT ask them to change the cable for me? is SLT open on sundays anyway?

I've a pair of HD497 and due to constant dropping and tugging over the years i think the wire lose liao... so must twist and turn the wire at certain angles then got sound... i think it may require some rewiring or resoldering... where can i get this done and roughly how much will it cost?

how do i get the best audio and visual settings out of windvd? i'm using a hercules gtxp with klipsch promedia 4.1 and radeon 7500 currently my settings are... under audio... analog output, 4 channel, remember volume setting, audio renderer auto, audio control audio booster the rest are unchecked under video... use hardware decode acceleration and use hardware color acceleration are checked. and also... when watching LOTR... under sound settings.. should i use stereo surround? or DD es 5.1 or DTS es 6.1?

hmm.... the rectangle at the top right is a door... C stands for cupboard... on the right the L shaped thing is my table... beside that the square with the # is my chair... on the L shaped table the bigger rectangle is my monitor, long thin one is keyboard, box is my casing... shaded small squares are speakers, shaded big rectangle is subwoofer the right front speaker is on top of a tv... oh ya the bottom long rectangle is actually a cupboard above my bed... the 2 rear speakers are on top of that biggest rectangle is my bed positioning kinda screw up i know haha hmm... for a rough idea of the dimensions... my bed is a queen sized bed.. and the length from my bed to the wall(right side wall) is about 1.4m or so... from the foot of my bed to the wall(subwoofer wall) i think about 40cm or so

i bought the koss ksc50 liao... dont regret it... gd headfones! at first didnt noe can adjust the side thing... haha was v loose lol i was like WT*? then later then realise can adjust then swee liao haha still a little loose la... but gd enough but then thread said hung bros selling at $45... the price tag put $49 leh... then i ask wads their best price he can give he say $46...

so audio technica stuff sound not gd? juz high price and looks nice?
