Dale how nice to see you're here too, yeah i sat for hours testing amps and finally found the most neutral sounding under SGD300 imo the Ordnance .25, my other amp the X02 is colored but thats for hungry cans. I prefer to listen to my DT48 and DT48A direct without another amp, but to add the external DAC Ordnance.25 is still great and doesn't add much. A little more expensive neutral Amp can be the AHA 120 from Just Audio. IMO the Sansa is a bit soft, just put the internal gain on all the EQ settings, your A-Jays don't need much extra boost from an amp, they are sensitive enough for high volume listening.

901s not accurate in terms of sound analytics, but groundshaking bass, open and wide sound (array config), equalizer needs to be setup correctly and speakers placed according to their recommendations. This array sound lets you move around the room freely unlike critical speakers that make you sit in the middle like a dunce. Skulls Aviator & MixMaster Mike can never beat a Beyer 880 or 770, they can beat the beats though amped or unamped. Sorry for the late reply. Hi Woodpecker, thanks for the DT770/600ohm, they sound great on my Little Dot Mk4SE and also on the C&C XO2 Portable amp, the one that i used to try it out before buying. So shouldn't have a problem with DT990 @ 600ohms as well. Yes tube sound is better for bass imho, when i tie up my KT88 fullsize speaker stereo amp to the ATH K7 Electret Earspeakers, works wonders.

I got mine when i was in Shenzhen, bought quite a lot of other stuff there as well at a special discounted prices. You will need a PayPal account and a credit card for online purchases, the freight charges are reasonable as they first send the items out to HK before shipping over.

Nice idea for a Headphone stand, I myself use those mug holders to put my cheaper heaphones I may consider getting one of those banana stands, I'm running out of space to hang already.
