i'm planning for Meta42/PPA now just looking at the parts the tangent site says 50k for the meta, so will the 20k work? i remember seeing somewhere that anything from 10-50k will work for the Cmoy
-
thanks jason for the volume pot, can i use other values? like 20k found the Blue Alps volume pot in SLS, but its a 20k one, cost about $35
-
turbo-thirty? it can charge the cell indivigually its also a discharger has a printer to print a report on the cell perforamce during the charging/discharging process but it will also burn a big hole in your wallet
-
i think i should throw away what i know from RC racing we always discharge our cells to get the max punch from them, and we use up the 2000mAH in 5mins, u can cook an egg on the batt when its fully drain from a race guess that doens't work for Cmoy
-
one last pic still need to trim off the volume control shaft...
-
used valco to hold the MP3 player and the Cmoy together, now they are like one single unit
-
made some improvements to the project, changed all the resistors to 1% type, also change the the input plug to a right-angle type. anyone knows where to find switchcraft 1/8 stereo right-angle plug locally?
-
its Ni-MH but i think its still safer to discharge them before recharging, they are not cheap i'm looking for something thats more "high end" not just a row of light bulbs to drain the 9v i think the battery will last longer if we discharge them to a certain voltage before recharging, it will also make them perform better (learn this racing RC cars high performance 7.2v batt)

i think the local Zalman distributor is in SLS, should be on the third floor if i remember correctly, back lanes, just go 1 round of the back lanes u should be able to see them they hav a lot of Zalman fan products on display behind the glass, if they don't hav it, i think u can forget about asking the PC dealers
-
anyone knows how to build a discharger for a single 9v battery? i need a simple circuit to discharge the 9v batt used in a Cmoy before recharging it, can anyone help, this should be quite simple for u guys
-
can find in SLS Hung Bros i think the retail price is $89
-
kenshinz, i think u hav the same problem as me, wrong resistor values i only hav 2 different values on my board, 4.7k and 10k, the 10k is the R4 and the rest are all using 4.7K. i think the gain is too much with these values, but its sounds ok with my MP3 player, but its too lough when using line out on my discman
-
yep, there not enough room for the jacks on the case, i use the smallest case i can find that will fit a 9v batt and the board together. the portas sound more controlled with the amp, slightly reduced bass & more bright. the volume knot is the smallest i can find in SLT , i think the shaft can be cut to reduce the lenght
-
did not hav to use the rail-spilter, i think i will try it when i change a new board, need to redo the wiring
-
all the problems were caused by the op-amp, everthing work fine when i put in a new op-amp
-
Finally done, my first Cmoy
-
should not be a problem will hav porta pro alone to compare
-
they are all not here yet
-
what will that do to the headphone & amp?
-
i'm hoping they sound close to the the porta-pros or better, u think its possible? i saw the EW9 is only 29ohms kind of unusual for a portable, most are 32ohms & the CM7Ti only 16 ohms
-
can't help it i lov AT woodies Dougles at Hung Bros agree to let me test them when they arrive hav been asking him everyday since
-
some new models from AT, comments anyone? mini woodies ATH-EW9 the disc-brakes ATH-EM9 Titanium sticks ATH-CM7TI i think they are all not in SG yet, anyone hav price on them?
-
saw this in SLS today, "Naim Audio" , only know its a headphone amp, but it does not hav any model number on it. it comes in 2 modules, an amplifier module to plug in your headphone with a volume control and a power module to supply it with power, i can't find it on their website Naim Audio is it a DIY amp? cause it looks like a Headroom amp, i expect most consumer amps to at least hav a model number printed on it, but this one just hav "Naim Audio" printed in front

whats a "bed rig" N@Z ? a setup for listening on the bed? an amp build into the bed?
