  1. Thanks Rameish. Sigh! Will someone spring this young man out so he can apply his talents without the constraints of 2359!!!
  2. http://www.etymotic.com/ety-com-intro.html The ETY-COMTM cell phone headset is the most technically advanced cell phone headset of its kind, incorporating technology used in our stereo earphones and hearing aid devices. Improved intelligibility is achieved by combining noise isolation from a high-fidelity receiver and a close-talking (noise-canceling) directional microphone. The advantages are obvious in noisy surroundings. The highest sound isolation of any cell phone headset: NRR=24 dB by independent E-A-R-CAL Laboratory measurements (Indianapolis, IN). Actual earphone attenuation averages 37dB at the octave frequency bands from 125 to 8000Hz. The ETY-COM headset allows its user to carry on a conversation in a noisy car, airport, or convention center. Just as important, it allows the speaker to carry on a quiet private cell phone conversation in a public place without annoying others. Noise-canceling microphone technology makes it possible for the talker to be heard by the listener without shouting or interference from the talker's surroundings. Compatible with most Motorola cell phones and with most other cell phones that have a universal 2.5mm plug. Adapter solutions are available for cell phones that are not currently compatible. Expected delivery: Early February. US$69
  3. Hi Austin, thanks! Firefox, if you're reading this, YGPM!
  4. Absolutely last bump! Order goes out this weekend, with or without you
  5. Hi, I'm thinking of ordering the ER4P, and wondering whether the original Ety P to S adapter is worth the extra US$45, for what appears to be a cable, resisters and plugs. I'm not technically equiped to diy my own cable, but have no idea who can help me make it, and whether the cable will be as effective as the original version. Can any of the Ety owners here share your thoughts and experiences? It would be great to find out that some local talented diyer can/has make/made a more superior adapter than the original. Cheers! 6. Hi Mmatrix, Sorry to hear you have some problem with the E3C. I had experienced very light hissing when turning up the volume when no music is playing on my ipod (esp. with my 256 bitrate encoded MP3s, but it should not be loud enough to bother you during songs. But have not faced any problem with any of the channels crackling. That sounds serious! Wish I could lend you my E3C to trouble shoot, but I had sent it back to Todd for a refund after listening to it with the ER4P and E1. Haven't decided which other canal earphone to go for yet. If you decide to send your E3C for servicing or refund, pm me to arrange (I still have the receipt). Cheers! Scriberex
  7. Hi Duckling, The X-can v3 starting price was about S$720 couple of months back (Bargainable to S$650) at Alpha Audio, SLS. If you don't mind a mint second hand Xcanv3, drop me a pm with a realistic offer. upgraditis is a dangerous disease.
  8. upz... any other takers? Grado fans, get your flat pads here.....
  9. Interest check for sharing shipping cost to order from Toddthevinyljunkie.com I'm thinking of getting some grado flat pads. Anyone interested drop me a pm. Thanks.
  10. Hi N@z, hmmm.... I was at Suntec on Sunday to buy the GP mouse charger. But can't remember if I had my E3Cs on. Apart from my own, my mini order also included 2 other E3Cs for fellow sghpers. But I saw this other guy putting on a pair of E3Cs over the weekend, so I reckon there are quite a few of these lurking around.
  11. Wonder if the Firefox/Rameish team are up to coming up with an XP7 clone? pur-leaseeee.....
  12. Check out Mackie's thread regarding the prices for the new Beyers. http://www.sgheadphones.com/index.php?showtopic=1782
  13. Read this here http://www4.head-fi.org/forums/showthread....&threadid=57201 Don't flame me if it turns out to be an elaborate hoax to buy a cheap supermini! From Xin himself: quote: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Yes the new amp is in progress, to be released in anout 3 months. It'll be a commercialized product. It is not a PPA, but has the same key idea - separated channels. It comes with rechargable battery and can be charged with its DC-in jack. It can also use non-rechargable batteries. It is smaller than the Mini, but slightly larger than the Micro. This will be the best amp ever. The mini can have AD8620 now, but the downside is you must use a 9V battery extermally. So, better to wait for the new amp. I dont recommend the ER4P switch, always not. The new amp is called "Xin Super Dual" and will be released by Xin Technologies Inc.
  14. Kenshinz, no need to queue, just clean ears first Bummer, its overall a fantastic package, great for on the move. Easy to drive on my ipod, very lively, tight accurate bass. Even with my 160btr mp3s, starting to pick out more details. Very comfortable and easy to put on to get a good seal. Won't hear the phone ring or your wife calling you when music is on . My guess is it is not an Ety killer, but does maim the Etys somewhat in some parts of its anatomy
  15. Don't think so. But you can order them from Toddthevinyljunkie.com, currently having a 10% off for headphones. (If you do, let me know, cause I may want to tongpang some items.) Takes about a week to send to Spore and comes with a 2year warranty. Spore Shure apparently only offers a vague 1 year warranty. My pair of E3Cs will be at the Meet on Sat pm for those interested in trying them. ;-)
  16. Yes, Todd offers fab service and is prompt with email replies despite the time difference. He shipped on Tuesday, and it arrived exactly after one week.
  17. Thanks Mackie and N@z. Would love to see some pics of how the chopping blocks are positioned when done.
  18. Hi N@z, umm is this chopping block purchase related to some farout headphone tweak/accessory or you're just looking into some culinary pursuits as well? Pardon my ignorance !!!
  19. Thanks N@z for the review. Look forward to hearing the real thing next weekend at the meet. But will only get there after lunch, gotta work. By the way, the Marketek mini to mini in the earlier picture looks really cool and sturdy. Is it a great mini i/c to get? Where did you get it and for how much? Cheers!
  20. Cancelled. Thanks for looking.
  21. I was trying to off-load a brand-new 20 GB ipod just couple of weeks back for S$600. It got snapped up by someone else in another forum. Check out http://www.macuser.org.sg/yabbse/index.php...y;threadid=8604 for another ad, for S$630. Just posted today. No connection with me, though.
  22. Hi N@z, cool! Looking forward to it. Scriberex
