Try to do some DIY. But the price of the new components are too expensive for me, because I only need very samll amount of components. For example: elna, wima and mit caps and AB resistances. the price of the volume and ops are expensive too. alps volume around SG$45? BB opa627bp around SG$40? I used to get the alps volume at 55HK$ and Opa627bp at 150HK$ for a matched pair. So, who can give me some advices where to get the used components or I should buy a spoiled old machine and break it? thanks.

In fact, there are three amps suitable for the HD600 with different styles. but I could not order so many amps coz shorting the money so i choose the one i think is best.

I strong recommand the MG Head OTL MKII. It is designed and manufactured in PRC. It is real a good partner for HD600 at reasonable price. And you also can try some DIY one like I mentioned before. Some of those are designed for 501 and some for HD600. Dont think the sound of those DIY amps is "cheap" coz the price is "cheap". I have ordered one to drive my HD600. If anyone interest, I could let you audition it next month. (still waiting for the package shipped to the singapore and need time to run in the circuitry and tube)

I have a panasonic SL-SX500 pcdp. the sound is warm and has good bass but the resolution of the sound is so so..

em.. for mp3 player, you need a easy-to-drive headphone, cos most of amps are too big to meet your demand. For example: Koss pp, px 200. you could try ATH AD7 if you want a big one.

OK firstly the appearance: circuitry part: someone will say: this one is not the one i want! becasue not hi-end level product. Yes! this one use opa but will give you more fun than some hi-end one. firstly, you can change the tube to beautify the sound, you also can change the opa and caps. Those are quite easy to be done in this headphone-amp. So could make a super amp with you own style at one day. So i chose this one
