May I suggest you spend a little more cash on a better earphones. No use getting an amp to power an entry level IEM. No doubt entry level IEM might benefit a little from amping but it will be not a great difference. I would strongly recommend a better earphones over an amp. And of cos, getting a good earphones now will save you the urge to upgrade later

Hi, glab you like the 888 So far non of the IEM I tried gave me the same feeling I got from the 888s. Now using the ATH-CM5 which sound somewhat similiar but not as comfortable as the 888. Now waiting for the Ety ER-4P to arrive and hopefully it will be as good as the 888

I think its better to tried the IEMs and not be tempted by the offers. Different ppl like different sound signature. Like myself, didn't tried the Etymotic when I bought the UM1. If I have tried the Etymotic, I don't think I will buy the UM1

Tried the Alessandros at Jaben just now. Really sweet. Anyway... ordered the Etymotic ER-4P. Tried the IEMs available in Jaben for audition, only the Etymotic ER-6i leave a better impression than the rest

The Sennheiser MX400 is good, cheap and comfortable But for earphones, I would highly recommend the Sony MDR888 for its sound quality The Sennheiser CX200 is using a different driver from Creative EP-630, even though they look the same. You might want to audition the EP-630 and see whether it suits you

Anyone tried both? Is it worth the extra $$$ to go for the ER-4P? Is the diff between these two great? I'm more into clarity. Not much of a bass head.

Hi, I'm new to IEMs but would like to know if there is any sound diff between a triflange and biflange tips? I see that some forumers here mod the triflange to biflange.
