I'll be using the cans at home for sure. Thats why I mentioned that please recommend those that can directly be driven from the source since I don't have a solid state amp at home.

I've some spare cash on me these days and I can't wait to spend it on something worthwhile . Now I'm a newbie in this audiophile business and currently own a portable rig that consists of UM2s and a Xin Supermini IV. And it's been a month since I've been hooked on it (2 for the UM2s). So I've a choice to make to whether to go for customs for the UM2 or get myself a pair of CANs (i've never owned one before). Now, I need help from you people in reaching a decision as to which one I should go for? And considering the fact that I'm in love with my UM2s which CANs would best suit my hearing taste? P.S. I don't own a solid state amp at home so would require to run the CANS (if i end up buying one) directly off the source or via the mini. Budget: 400-600S$

XIN Super mini IV with my UM2s.

Any idea where can I get this adapter from?

I just wanted to know if Singapore Airlines is currently allowing to carry IEMs and IPods/DAPs on board it's aircrafts?

UM2 on Bishan MRT station..today afternoon

I was at Stereo Electronics today and auditioned the Weston UM2s (didn't get my hands on the E4Cs since they're out for a repair job). Now I'll be pairing either of these with my Xin Supermini IV (God knows when I'll get mine delivered to me - it's been three months since I've placed an order for it). So in the mean while I just wanted to know whether it'd be a good idea to get the headphones prior to I receiving my amp? And between these two earphones which one would you lot prefer?

Thanks alot for your reply monkeygod. Since this is my very first time with a MD - recorder I'm kind of stumped when it comes to evaluating their specs. I wanted to know if Sharp MD-DR77 is a good enough buy for the reasons I've mentioned in my previous posts.
-
So which MD - recorders will you people suggest for line in/live gig/cassette recordings?
-
X5 costs less than 300$??
-
Recording lectures, music from old magnetic cassette tapes, FM radio recording...Do MD players do a good job at these? If yes, which ones? And how much do they cost? edit: but i don't think MD players come with built in FM tuners.

I need a DAP which can record audio via line in - fm input and micro phone. Any suggestions? Budget within 300S$

Err, I just plugged in my headphones directly to the pocket dock and into into my Ipod 5G and the volume I'm getting out of it is actually MORE than what I get out of builtin amp :s....This means what?
