  1. Congrats, I too find that the beyer DT880 and etys 4s sound very similar. If i sell all my headphones, the etys will still remain with me. (well unless i found another better canal phones)
  2. congrats tropicalrips. your photography has improved quite a lot ever since your MRT series.
  3. As far as I know, I am the only one with a Gilmore V2 in Singapore. But I don't understand how you can compare an amp you've heard half a year ago, in a less than ideal environment with at most 10 minutes with unfamiliar cables and source. There are too much variables here and I am not even mentioning about auditory memory......
  4. Try crossfeed in foobar2000 instead. It is more natural and sounds better. I tried the 4ftront on foobar but I didn't like it. Well, it is too echoey for me. Headroom amps have crossfeed but definitely not an echo effect.
  5. Not too sure about that. Sorry.
  6. I have the same cd player too. Haven't had any problem reading original pressed cds though. It is possible that your lens are dying already. Furthermore some disc, though may appear new, may not be perfect. I also have 2 perfect looking discs that my cdroms have a hard time reading. Denon should be able to replace the lens. From what i remember, the transport is made by Sharp.
  7. sorry I decided to withdraw from the mass buy.
  8. yes i believe both use the mini jacks. just turn down the volume to the minimum before plugging in.
  9. i think the default army earplugs is worse than the ER-20.

  13. Music composed and conducted by John Williams Boston Symphony Orchestra Volin Solos by Itzhak Perlman Violin lovers should give this heartaching soundtrack a try. Good recording too!
  14. 1)Nakedtoes (Confirmed) 2)Barracod (Confrimed) 3)evil-zen (Confirmed) 4)...
  15. I am very interested. Have you asked http://www.hifi.com.tw/ ?
  16. I agree your source would be the limiting factor. Try to get a DIY cable from someone. If not, you can go to LHS in SLT. They are willing to solder for you if you buy their wires and connectors.
  17. I didn't realise that until after i bought it in thailand. but quality is quite ok.
  18. Well, if your ears can stand the volume, i think your earphones can stand them too. there might be a chance of foreign particle stuck inside. Give them a blow or lightly tap them. If it doesn't work, try to dismantle if you dare.
  19. Or the drivers might be toast. I had the exact problem with sony e888 before. Did you turn up the volume way beyond normal listening levels? If yes, then you might have to buy new earphones.
