  1. Nice to see someone who appreciates funk, i suggest you look at more EWF tracks and also The Commodores and The Isley Brothers band for a start because these are the bands that really brought funk to the mainstream during their time, not to mention they all had lots of hits. When you are ready to go more indepth, listen to stuff like the JBs or James Brown after he disbanded JBs, Sly and the Family Stone and Paliament/ Funkadelic cos these are mainly the three bands that paved the way for funk. They sound raw in comparision to the above, but that was the way funk was in its early days. Then you can slowly go on to explore Slave, Average White Band and The GAP Band to name a few. Imo, the first two bands were severly underrated except for The GAP Band which is still so relatively active in touring and still largely represented in today's modern R&B by foreman Charlie Wilson. From there, i guess you'd figure out what kind of funk you prefer (whether its the old skool James Brown gritty kind or the more party oriented George Clinton type) and have fun exploring.
  2. Does anyone still own the old sony Mdr e565/ 575/ 484, willing to pay good price if u wan to sell any of these models. Or if anyone stills knows where to get them, pls let me know thanks.

  4. If u are talking about the folding joints, i just asked a fren who owned the px200 4 abt 2 mths, so far so good, but he recommends u put it in the case when not in use and not jus chuck it in ur pocket or something, then u shouldn hav any problems that u read abt.

    Blonde Jokes

A group of 10 blondes in their early twenties decided to go partying at boat quay one night. Yes u read it right, it's the one in sg. Anyway, they all arrived and were standing in front of a pub when the leader of the group approached the door and paused, even before lookin inside the place, she walked back towards the group and said, "this place sucks." They then proceeded to the neighbouring joint. Once again the leader walked up to the door, paused and walked back sayin "this place sucks as well". The group once again proceeded to the next joint and the leader once again went through the same repertoire and walked back to the group shoutin "This whole place is jus sshiiit!" and following that the whole group of 10 blondes went home. Q: Why was this so? A: On the door to the entrace of the pub, there was a sign that read "Above 18 only" =)
  6. Hi AugustineRS, I do suggest that u bring more than 1 familiar cd to test it with. Preferably at least 1 cd that is lightly scratched. Most ppl have cds in their collection that have minor scratches at least. And with my experience with old cd players, they tend to be more unforgiving (at least those i have used), i'm not sure if it's because of the age of the lens oe whatever, but they tend to skip if the cd is not in mint condition. So i think that's important, cos it can save u trouble later.

    Re: HD414

Ok ppl, i've been up all night and just realised from talking to my brother on msn that he has found his pair of senn hd414s (reissued version) that he used to use and wants to retire to me. =) If i my memory serves me right, these hd414s were opened cans, not the prettiest of designs nor were they expensive at the time when my brother bought them. However, what i would like to know is if anyone has had experience with this set of phones. Please give me some feedback as i cant find any off the net and i am overseas plus all my brother can say is "listen to it 4 urself when u get back." I am going bananas right now. So if anyone can help??? and btw, if anyone has rhe specs to the cans, could u kindly post it? and sorry 4 the wrong post to the classfied forum... too tired....i'm out Peace
