There are various type of amp in the market. e.g Solid state amp, tube amp and DAC 2. 50 dollar is very hard to get an amp with such a function. Below 200 will do the damage! 3. That's call a line out. A line out work in this way that the audio signal did not go thru the internal mp3 player amp, but go to your portable amp volume. For example, while listening from the line output of a Ipod connecting it to an amplifier, when you play back the recording, having only changed the amplifier volume, all the songs will be at the same loudness; you will not hear the volume increase where you turned up your favorite song via your ipod. In contrast, if you play by connecting to the headphone connector, the recording's volume would follow the volume knob's setting. 4. I cannot answer it, haven get a chance to build it yet! 5. Able to, if you get ibasso t4, with a bass boost option. Is ok to ask those question as we are all learning too! Welcome to the game! hope my reply helps! chesterqw 0 Report post Posted September 26, 2009 actually a DAC is not an amp :/ DAC stands for Digital-to-Analog Converter the three main types of amps are tube amps, solid state amps and hybrid amps( of the 2 obviously). there are also passive amps but they don't do what amp does. blackmouth0 0 Report post Posted September 30, 2009 For the link that heady sent you, i guess is thru online, and you can either DIY it yourself or you can buy the made ready one. The ibasso T4 is sold in Stereo Electronic, located at Plaza Singapura and Causeway point, both outlet is at level 4. And the amp is available for demo at the outlet, there are more selection of amp at there also. Can make a trip down to try them out.
