Well on a serious note... could't understand the article... The only thing I could understand was the 1100 computer cluster... Anyone care to shed some light on it?

Huh? did I say anything wrong? You said don't try this on wintel. But I'm saying, if you try on AMD Opteron Linux coms might even work better than that "big mac"

You used the word 'should' & 'might'. Anyway, I'm on the fence as I use both Win & Mac.

It may work better, but think of the heat from 1100 AMD computers! no.gif

I'm not one to go for Mac's but I have to hand it too them, the G5 seems like a niiicce machine!

I was thinking, if they used AMD/Intel CPUs, while running on Linux

1) Linux is definitely more stable and secure

2) They can use rackmount server, 1 in front of another, airflow will be great

But well, in the meantime, let use enjoy looking at the Big Mac.

That's one thing you can be sure of. Macs are really nice eye candy.

Lek, you didn't say anything wrong. I just can't compute the idea of anything being better than a Mac. It's got looks, its stable, its backwards compatible, it's just plain sexy.
