It's probably your MP3 recording. One thing i noticed about this headphone and it's probably true of the PX-100 as well is placement of drivers over ears is very improtant. The difference can be approx 20% improvement! I had to tilt the headhone back (ir the headback further back) to get a better sound. In the normal over the head position the sound isn't as good. Ya you can say I do like this headphone for its price to performance.
