btw do you use mono or stereo? I find with stereo there's noticeably more hiss..

I use stereo as it sounds alot better, once you put up with it initially you won't notice it as much after that.

Blues, when you're on the move there tends to be hiss (especially transitlink bus because of the TV Mobile) due to poorer reception. If reception is good there should not be any problem.
