(see http://www.fixup.net/talk/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=1391) There are numerous articles on headfi comparing this amp with the Ray Samuels SR-71. Both are priced at approx USD400. Got it a while back.. still burning in.. will post details later.. only grip is that the on/off switch is too near the headphones jack! I don't own a SR71 so I can't really comment on the sound difference. If you have the time check out RS "The Hornet" too.. so far quite a lot of nice reviews in Head-Fi. According to most ppl on XIN's forums, the mini sounds very close to the macro. I'm sure if you are going to carry ard a portable amp you can definitely accomodate something larger than the micro.. so go for the mini instead!
