DiGdUb 0 Report post Posted June 29, 2005 just got a black one for $49. initial impressions: the rubber thingy (ath calls it 'p' ears) is actually quite comfortable. it is made of semi-soft rubber. the rubber sleeves are the same as those on the sony/panasonic canalphones. the sound is less bassy than the sony and the sharp md33/ creative ep630. i think it sounds closer to the panasonic canalphones. the midrange is strong and prominent. soulmad 0 Report post Posted July 29, 2005 i had a try of this pair a few days ago...the sound isolation is very poor...and hardly any bass there
Kube 0 Report post Posted July 30, 2005 My friend, on impulse, and because he thought it was as good as the md-33's, bought a pair. I tried them. Crap. For people with small ears, the clip thing seriously hurts. This hinders the HARD rubber sleeves from fitting in and providing the needed isolation. So, while there's practially no isolation, bass can't get through because IMO low freqs in in-ear phones travel through the sleeves. Just a first impression though, perhaps it takes more time to fit and burn in...
