sharp hp-md33s clone!

Recommended Posts

Bought it for $59. Still burning in, here is my impression.

Built quality:

I called it an ok canal earphone. I compare to my Sony canal phone EX-51, wearing Sony was quite easy. The Creative one have very soft rubber holding by the driver, making it slightly harder to wear it. Good thing about it is it doesn't hurt your ear wearing it. Very comfortable, better than Sony.

Noise Isolation:

As good as EX-51. Or maybe I can't hear the difference.

Sound quality:

Whoa baby. It doesn't sound very bloated bass like EX-51. The sound stage is also more wider and neutral. Listening to vocal is a very good experience. Occasionally it sounded a bit hollow. The driver is a 16 ohm neodymium magnet transducer, so it need more current. So far only my Zen Micro can drive it properly without amp. One of the technical guy said the driver is made in Germany... Hmmmmmm....

Conclusion:

From a few good point:

1. Comfy wearing

2. Have a good noise isolation

3. Good sound

4. $49 if you are a member.

Therefore I end my final sentence.

What foam mod??? Hahaha.....

I mean their driver impedence of 16 ohm, which are harder to drive for portables as compare to normal 32 ohm. Of course you have to look at their sensitivity too.

The last fest got more people, this time very few.

Probably because lower impedance = more "current-hungry"?

Seems pretty interesting, might just get one for my friend during her birthday. Thanks for the impressions.
