acidboy84 0 Report post Posted December 23, 2005 When burning-in significantly louder than your normal listening volumes, you may get issues like the drivers of the headphones loosening too much.. Since you're really just trying to get the oils to uniformly coat the coils and for the coils to move comfortably at your listening volumes. If you've the time, try going from slightly softer -> listening volume -> slightly louder. Reducing the amount of time spent each time. Thanks for the clarification. The system will not take on a characteristic just simply because of the songs that were fed during the run-in process. Just play whatever music that you listen to. For instance, a person who listens to purely classicial music need not scramble for a hip-hop cd to run in his system. Another case in point, do u run-in your track shoes solely for the track in a stadium? What's imperative is to wear it and walk the shoes. It's the same with sound system.
