Recommended Posts

hi Stereo Electronics,

Would it be possible to notify me once the Sony MDR-CD900ST is available at your shop? Thanks!

BTW, Akihabara mentioned the model being MDR-CD900ST but the pics refer to EX90SL.

I've attached the pics below (courtesy of Akihabara News):

Release date: 10 May 2006

Release price: 12 390yen (11 800yen w/o tax)

This is a direct babelfish translation of the text on the bottom of the page:

It is the inner year headphone series where the "EX monitor" has obtained high reliance and appraisal from the recording studio, and the artists succeeds the design concept of studio monitor headphone "MDR-CD900ST". By the fact that it throws not to spare the acoustic technology of the professional grade, one one reproducing the vocal and the sound of the musical instrument vividly. It is faithful to the image of field sound, pure sound is played.

Might explain why some people thought the model number is CD900ST...

Interesting! Sony always up to funny ideas lol. From the pics, the grill looks like a E888 driver. I hope it is! Hmm...13.5mm, i forgot E888's size. laugh.gif

If they're the same size, can remove the attachement and attach it onto a E888. lol. Hope this is a winner. Brushed metal is the in thing these days!

It sucks that Sony is only releasing the LP version instead of the SL. Can't use it on my portable MDs and CD player.

Confirm and double check from Sony Singapore that there is no news and no release date yet on the EX90, just came back from their mid year promotion seminar at Sony HQ.
