Newbie123 0 Report post Posted July 12, 2006 oh my god the recent offers by both Jaben and Stereo Electronics is really good! too many choices, hard to decide I think its better to tried the IEMs and not be tempted by the offers. Different ppl like different sound signature. Like myself, didn't tried the Etymotic when I bought the UM1. If I have tried the Etymotic, I don't think I will buy the UM1
palestofwhite 0 Report post Posted July 12, 2006 I prefer the ER6i over my UM1.

Mackie 0 Report post Posted July 13, 2006 (edited) Too much details especially in the higher spectrum, thus, contributing to fatique. It's not necessarily bad, just a matter of preference. Edited July 13, 2006 by Mackie
Stereo_Electronics 0 Report post Posted July 13, 2006 I like the way you put the term analytical.
xenocide 0 Report post Posted July 13, 2006 Hey Aron, thanks for letting me try the IEMs after this short test, i've somehow made up my mind... probably like wat u said, i shld hav stayed longer and try them. Well will do so when i have time. The UE5Pro is very nice~ abit uncomfortable though Forgot to ask u if the bass from UM2 equivilant to UE5EB i like the UM2 bass but it lacks the high note clarity(sorry i dun really know how to describe) but the UE5Pro seems to balance out everything! Definately a YES for me! Too bad no stocks, else i'd hav bought on the spot! Thanks for the short EARgasm. hahaha~ will drop by again
zonalblitz_audio 0 Report post Posted July 13, 2006 I think for your case of comfort, try change the sleeves for your size. Then adjust the memory wire behind the ear. I took some time to get the right fit as well. For all the effort to get my fit, it pays off with comfort and 'eargasm' I heard some of my classmates made a plot to steal them from me(jokingly) after they tried them out. Welcome and be a proud user of Ultimate Ears!
xenocide 0 Report post Posted July 14, 2006 Yah Aron told me u have to adjust the "wire" behind to find the perfect fit... its quite hard but once u got it, its heaven in ur ears! but sadly they ran out of stocks... else i'd hav gotten it on the spot! I really love the sound produce by the UE5Pro as compared to the others... Probably dropby on sat again to listen more. Do you guys have any recommandation of tracks/songs that can really test the IEMs? My company(making TVs) always uses Hotel California by Eagles to test... they say this song has a lot of instruments playing, background and foreground... can really test if the speakers(my TV in this case) is good or not. Any comments?
