I think the marantz should last me for quite some time. Infact I may not be upgrading. Plan to pump the cash into more cds first

What about getting a MF X-24k DAC, connecting to your Marantz. It also offers 24 bit Delta-Sigma (Bitstream), 8 x oversampling similar to A3. Then you can switch between the sonic signatures of MF and Marantz as and when you like. wink.gif

It's a DAC, not CDP. So far, i am still in acquisition mode, in view of market softening. So no selling yet. Contrarian views help in the pre-owned markets to take advantage of dd/ss timing gap for pricing differentials wink.gif
