heady 0 Report post Posted September 18, 2006 I am looking for suitable lapel mics for recording on a M-Audio MicroTrack device. I have tried a omni Beyer, which has too high an output. I have tried a cardoid AudioTechnica which output is too low and is also cumbersome because of the extra battery pack. Any suggestions? Or can I use a resistor to lower the output from the Beyer mic? From hot to cold? Thanks guys and gals (must be fair).
Mackie 0 Report post Posted September 18, 2006 (edited) I wonder if this will work for you. Read "Modification ideas" in the following link: http://66.102.7.104/search?q=cache:FV4-70G...us&ct=clnk&cd=2 I prefer a variable approach as too low an output from the mic will require higher gain of mic amp to drive it to a certain spl, which in turn, results in greater hiss.
