Background Noise

Hi all,

 

PC onboard sound/WAV files->mini jack 2 RCA->headamp->cans

 

hearing quite a bit of background noise. Considering one of the following options to

cure the problem. The noise increases with inc in volume to the point when I scroll mouse it starts

to distort further.Its quite obvious on slow tracks. Need your advice on which option would be most practicle.

 

1) get a sound card (currently using onboard sound)

 

2) get a USB dac (externally powered)

 

3) change my PC power supply

If I am facing the mentioned problem, I would choose 2), use the PC as a transport for the digital signal(wav).

Its probably ur onboard card error or driver. I encounter before such errors. Usually getting a sound card will fix it. Or get a external dac will do fine i guess
