hantu 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2006 Hi all, PC onboard sound/WAV files->mini jack 2 RCA->headamp->cans hearing quite a bit of background noise. Considering one of the following options to cure the problem. The noise increases with inc in volume to the point when I scroll mouse it starts to distort further. Its quite obvious on slow tracks. Need your advice on which option would be most practicle. 1) get a sound card (currently using onboard sound) 2) get a USB dac (externally powered) 3) change my PC power supply Thanks in advance
Charismatic 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2006 Hi Hantu, If I am facing the mentioned problem, I would choose 2), use the PC as a transport for the digital signal(wav).
tassardar_ 0 Report post Posted December 21, 2006 Its probably ur onboard card error or driver. I encounter before such errors. Usually getting a sound card will fix it. Or get a external dac will do fine i guess
