Blues 0 Report post Posted February 10, 2007 Hi guys, need help here as I will be going back for a few days, my dad wants me to bring a 17" imac back for him. Now, the problem is that I will have to transit at Jakarta and take another domestic plane to my hometown. The cargo handling is quite bad in Indonesia, and I don't think it's quite safe checking it in. I also realise that the overhead compartment won't be able to fit the iMac. (boeing 737 is too small) So, any idea how to bring it back on the plane? or should I just double pack the iMac box and check it in anyway? risky?
loop_ 0 Report post Posted February 10, 2007 if you have faith in your packing skills you can check it in and request that it be handled as a fragile good, which means that they won't pack it in with all the other standard luggages. i doubt you can hand carry it because it's just too big. An alternative is to ship it via singpost. To indo if you get one of the higher tier services should not cost you more than a $100. and you can get it insured.
